Spotlight is now in its 21st successful year as a Performing Arts school  for children and young people aged from 3½ to 18 years old, providing members with a solid  and fun learning experience.

Our aim

Our aim is for our members to improve self confidence and self esteem, have fun performing.

  • Increase their creativity and personal expression through drama activities
  • Improve dance ability and learn variety of styles.
  • Help increase confidence with singing in a group and solo.

Performing Arts

Being a theatre school, our sessions cover a vast range of exciting subjects within performing arts including, Dance, Drama and Singing

 

 

Spotlight was started in 1995 to provide an exciting learning environment for children interested in Theatre and the Performing Arts, we have Saturday classes in Middlesbrough and Saltburn.

Spotlight is fun, friendly, and gives young people the chance to shine in which ever way they choose, encouraging new friendships whilst learning new skills.

We believe the creative arts can help benefit all who get involved, whether it be to pursue a career within performing arts or just as a hobby and to have fun on a Saturday. Many of our members stay with us their entire school life, and its rewarding to see them develop into confident young adults.

With affordable fees and no joining audition, our pupils are able to experience the fun and excitement of being part of a Saturday stage school, and are all invited and encouraged to take part in our exciting theatre productions regardless of age, ability or experience.

Spotlight Classes

We offer junior classes for 3 to 7½ year olds, and senior classes for upto 18 year olds.

Spotlight has two locations running Saturday classes.

  • Middlesbrough at the Acorn Centre, where we have morning and afternoon sessions.
  • Saltburn at Huntcliff School where we run morning sessions.

For all new pupils there is a registration fee of £15 which includes your Spotlight T-shirt payable by the 4th week of starting at Spotlight.

Junior Spotlight

 

Age 3½ to 7½ years

£63 per term

payable in advance saving £14,
or £5.50 per session weekly

14 week term,
1 hour session

 

Senior Spotlight

 

Age 7½ to 18 years

£98 per term

payable in advance saving £28,
or £9.00 per session weekly

14 week term,
2¼ hour sessions
