Within our junior session, we encourage our members to perform in front of their peers, work with partners and groups
We have dance and vocal warm ups, dance and performance sessions with carefully selected and ”requested” songs , mime and performance skills, and fun games and confidence building
We encourage our members to develop their own choreography and interpretation to music , alongside writing and performing their own scripts, which they regularly get to perform to the rest of the members.
This enables our members to find their strengths and develop their own styles, learn from one another whilst working within a team.
Incorporating various styles such as musical theatre, street , modern Jazz and contemporary
Incorporating mime, improv, script writing and development, character building, accents, projection and techniques.
Incorporating vocal warm ups ,vocal techniques, musical theatre and popular music, microphone technique
What to expect from our classes
Self development, team work, peer support

Our members learn from industry professionals who can pass on their knowledge and inspire our members , all in a non-competitive, encouraging environment.
Our team are all experienced with working with young people and come from various performing arts and teaching backgrounds. These varied strengths enables Spotlight to cater for everyone in our lively and exciting sessions.
At Spotlight we don’t take exams, but place our focus on exciting stage productions and performances to help pupils showcase their talents and skills.
Our shows are devised and written for Spotlight so we can include every member, regardless of age, ability or experience. It’s exciting and hard work , but we wouldn’t have it any other way. This ethos has remained throughout the years.
Payments & Fees
Affordable fees with payment options – the majority of our members pay termly with a discount , however we do offer weekly payment options. Click here for term and payment details.
What to Wear
We don’t have a “uniform” as such , however all our members get a spotlight T-shirt which is perfect for rehearsals and dance sessions.
Any cool ,comfortable clothing is best for our sessions, sports leggings, tracksuit bottoms are ideal , along with trainers ,plims or dance shoes.
No skirts , restrictive clothing or dancing in tights or Ugg style boots.
We also have Hoodies and Zoodies that our members can order, in a colour of their choice
